INHIBITING ZONES BEFORE ARMING
(as an extra user or manager)
When arming the system, you may get the message ‘Open Zone(s)’ along with a list of the zones on the
premises that have not yet been closed. Attempt first to close these zones. If this is not possible, you can
inhibit these zones during arming. This section shows you how to inhibit zones before arming as an extra user
or manager. ‘Arming with open zones as an extra user or manager’ on page 22nd shows how to inhibit
zones during full or partial arming.
1. Go to the keypad. The current date and time appear on the
display.

2. Press the 0 key and then enter your code. A ‘*’ appears in
the display for every key you press. Use the 0 key to cancel
an incorrect entry and to restart a new entry code.

3. This is the first menu option from which you can make a
selection. Press the ‘ââ‘ key to move to the ‘Inhibit’ menu.

4. Press the accept key.

You will see ‘No Inhibits’ in the display. If there are already
inhibited zones, a list of them appears in the display.

5. Now enter ‘3’ to inhibit zone 3.

After entering ‘3’ the message ‘Inhibit Zone_’ appears to
indicate what zones you want to inhibit.

6. Press the accept key when ‘Inhibit Zone 003’ is shown in
the display. Zone 3 is then inhibited.

If zone 3 (Hall) is inhibited, this message appears.
If ‘Inhib. Not Poss.’ appears in the display, you cannot
inhibit the zone entered

After ‘Inhibited Zones’ all the zones which are inhibited
appear. If you want to inhibit other zones, select this by
entering the zone number.
When you are finished, press the reject key and the system
will now exit the option list.
If you want to cancel the inhibits, enter the zone number
again. ‘Uninhibiting...’ appears, followed by the name of
the zone and the list of inhibited zones again. If ‘No
Inhibits’ appears, there are no more inhibited zones.
