ARMING WITH OPEN ZONES AS A STANDARD USER

When arming the system, you may get the message ‘Open Zone(s)’ along with a list of the zones in the

premises that have not yet been closed. Attempt first to close these zones. If this is not possible, you can

inhibit these zones during arming. Because you can use both security areas, you can also select one security

area to use.

Only use this inhibiting option when absolutely necessary as any inhibiting of zones will reduce the security

level of your system. If the system is disarmed, all the inhibited zones will appear in the display after ‘In

Operator Log’.

Although you can exclude an open zone when a tamper alarm has been triggered (identified by the letter ‘T’

in front of the open zone listed), you will not be able to arm the system until the tamper alarm has been

rectified.

1. Go to the keypad. The current status of the areas is shown

in the display.

2. Press the 0 key and then enter your code.

A ‘*’ appears in the display for every key you press. Use the

0 key to cancel an incorrect entry

3. An underscore appears alternately under ‘1’ and ‘2’. Enter

the number of the area required.

... but there are still open zones, which the system indicates

here.

Open Zone(s)

In this case, zone 3 in the hall is not closed. This can be

inhibited.

4. After entering ‘áá‘ the message ‘Inhibit Zone_’ appears to

indicate what zones you want to inhibit.

Now enter ‘3’ to inhibit zone 3

When zone 3 is inhibited this message appears.

If ‘Inhib. Not Poss.’ appears in the display, you cannot

inhibit the zone entered

Inhibited

The system begins to arm.

If the system still cannot arm, the message ‘Open Zones’

appears again. In that case repeat the above actions.
