INHIBITING ZONES BEFORE ARMING

(as an extra user or manager)

When arming the system, you may get the message ‘Open Zone(s)’ along with a list of the zones in the

premises that have not yet been closed. Attempt first to close these zones. If this is not possible, you can

inhibit these zones during arming. This section shows you how to inhibit zones before arming as an extra user

or manager. ‘Arming with open zones as an extra user or manager’ on page 22 shows how to inhibit

zones during full or partial arming.

Because the system is split, you can select one or more areas from the available security areas.

1. Go to the keypad. The current status of the areas is shown

in the display.

2. Press the key 0 and then enter your code.

A ‘*’ appears in the display for every key you press. Use the

0 key to cancel an incorrect entry

3. An underscore appears alternately under ‘1’ and ‘2’. Enter

the number of the area required.

4. This is the first menu option from which you can make a

selection. Press the ‘ââ‘ key to move to the ‘Inhibit’ menu.

5. Press the accept key.

You will see ‘No Inhibits’ in the display. If there are already

inhibited zones, a list of them appears in the display.

6. Now enter ‘3’ to inhibit zone 3.

After entering ‘3’ the message ‘Inhibit Zone_’ appears to

indicate what zones you want to inhibit.

7. Press the accept key when ‘Inhibit Zone 003’ is shown in

the display. Zone 3 is then inhibited.

If zone 3 (Hall) is inhibited, this message appears.

If ‘Inhib. Not Poss.’ appears in the display, you cannot

inhibit the zone entered
